Slideshow Competition 2026

Submission Deadline Wednesday August 12th, 2PM

The event is held at Clubhouse 7. Doors open at 6:30pm for refreshments, and the shows start at 7:00pm.

Attendance to the competition is open to ALL residents of Laguna Woods Village, and their guests.

Shows are presented anonymously to the audience. Camera Club members then vote for their favorites for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Finishers will be recognized, and all the maker’s names will be announced after the voting.

Camera Club members attended for free, non-members paid a $5 donation at the door. Join the Club.

Participants followed these 2026 rules carefully.

The submission deadline this year was Wednesday August 12th, 2PM.

Slide Show Submission Guidance

Slideshows are accepted in the order received, and if the submission criteria are met.

A 2nd slide show may be submttted at the same time, although only one slide show will be admitted per member until the submission deadline.

Always note which file to be considered the primary submission.

After the deadline, if time is still available for the show, 2nd slide shows will be accepted in the order received by the deadline.

Slideshows may be submited in one of four (4) ways.

  1. (1) By email to Showcases@cameraclublwv.org
  2. Drop off a thumbdrive at the Photo Lab, CH 4, in a sealed envelope
  3. Mail a thumbdrive by USPS to the Club, in a sealed envelope must arrive by deadline

 
(2) Thumb drive drop off at Photo Lab:

  • Your name must be on the exterior of the envelope
  • The file name of the thumbdrive must be your name
  • The file name of each MP4 must be the title of the show
  • Indicate which file is to be considered 1st

 
(3) Thumb drive submissions by USPS:

(4) Online submissions:

Up to two files may be submitted – your first file upload will be considered as your primary submission.

Online submissions (only) are limited to files no larger than 128mb per file.

Make your submissions by thumb drive if any file is larger than this limit.
