Testimonials
Jane Goodall, Ph.D., DBE
Founder, the Jane Goodall Institute &
UN Messenger of Peace
To the Ends of the Earth is an amazing collection of wildlife photography and original music scores which take us on a visual and symphonic journey into one of the last wild places on earth, East Africa. In To the Ends of the Earth, wildlife photographer and music composer, Todd Gustafson, shares his passion for conservation and wildlife preservation, all the while showing us how these creatures have so much in common with each other – and with us.
Through Todd’s lens we see a vanishing natural world. We can see a world we have the power to protect. We have a collective voice that can change the course of destruction to one of stability and rebirth.
To the Ends of the Earth is sharing the Earth’s beauty to illustrate exactly what is at stake.
His Holiness Pope Francis
“With these books you have the power to change hearts and minds, and make this a better world.”
Peter Raven
Former United States Chief Science Office
Todd’s camera skills are evident throughout this Documentary and the accompanying episodes, but it’s his vast knowledge of east African birds is what allows him to capture such striking images. Just look at the 11:35 mark; a black-headed heron and a frog. This seemingly simple image captures a very real life and death moment for each of these creatures. The scene began with a safari vehicle traveling for here to there. A heron walked from the long grass of the Serengeti to a small road side puddle. Todd, in no uncertain terms, said “stop here! What would it be like if the bird walked to the water and caught a frog?” …Ten second later it happened…a moment just as exciting and a photo just as dramatic as a lion kill. Enjoy these moments as you view Todd’s documentaries.
