John had a long and distinguished career after graduating Rochester Tech\, studying under Minor White\, an icon of American photgraphy. John was Head Photographer for Newsday\, out of Long Island\, for over 30 years\, putting him on scene for the top news stories of the day\, including the downing of TWA Flight 800\, for which he was awarded a Pulizer Prize in Journalism.
