Whether you’re traveling across the country or staying close to home\, Tom will show how careful preparation for your photography adventures can help you capture images you’ll be proud to share. \nHe will demonstrate how he uses apps such as The Photographer’s Ephemeris and PhotoPills to plan the optimal time and place to capture sunrises and sunsets\, catch a rising or setting moon in just the right position\, and find the Milky Way in its optimal location. \nTom will also talk about some of his favorite weather apps and other planning tips and tricks that are readily available for little or no cost. \nSign Up for this class

DESCRIPTION:Submission deadline for images for the March 25th Critique\, with special subject “Yellow” \nNOTE:  Smart phone/cell phone images only \nSee email flyer for more details and submission rules. \n“Yellow”\nAs one of the oldest pigments used by humans\, the spectrum of attributes associated with yellow are wide ranging. Yellow is associated with the sun\, warmth\, energy\, and radiance. As a result\, yellow has inherited connotations of power\, knowledge\, imperishability\, and status. Frida Kahlo called yellow the color of the sun and joy\, but also “of madness\, sickness\, and fear”. It is the color of warning. Your image must include the color yellow. Yellow does not need to be the dominant color in the image\, but it must impact the finished photograph\, either aesthetically\, or symbolically\, or both.
